Hey, I’m Kelsea!
I’m a senior copy and messaging strategist who works across the full stack—from shaping the narrative to actually writing the work.
Most of what I do sits at the intersection of brand, conversion, and product storytelling. I turn positioning into things people can understand and act on: homepages, landing pages, lifecycle campaigns, ads, in-app copy, newsletters, video, and whatever else needs to carry the message without wasting anyone’s time.
I’ve worked across restaurant tech, retail e-commerce, food & bev, and lifestyle—different audiences, different stakes, different levels of patience. That range has made me pretty opinionated about what works and what doesn’t. People don’t need more words. They need clearer ones, at the right moment, with a reason to care.
Over time, my expertise has expanded from writing deliverables to shaping how messaging works as a system. I’ve led brand voice, built frameworks, and partnered with product, marketing, and growth teams to make sure the story holds up from first impression to everyday use. I like being close to both the thinking and the doing. and I don’t really separate the two.
My default mode is practical, but not plain. I care about rhythm, specificity, and restraint. The goal is writing that sounds like a smart person speaking clearly, not like a positioning doc trying to prove it went to business school.
I also care about performance. I like when the work looks good, but I care more that it works. That usually means research, testing, iteration, and occasionally being wrong before getting it right.
At my best, I bring clarity to fuzzy ideas, structure to scattered messaging, personality to boring concepts, and just enough taste to know when to stop.
